Meet your guide
I've been the kid in that chair.
I was identified with hearing loss as a toddler, and my hearing kept changing through childhood until I was profoundly deaf by age ten. I remember the appointments. I remember my parents trying to make good decisions with very little support.
I became a pediatric audiologist anyway, and I've now spent close to two decades helping families through diagnostics, hearing aids, cochlear implant evaluations, mapping and everything that comes after. I'm also a mom of four, a speaker, an author, and a clinical preceptor teaching the next class of audiologists.

We're already spending so much on appointments and devices. Is this worth it?
That's a fair question, and I'd rather you ask it than quietly resent the purchase. The program exists because most families get about fifteen minutes of explanation and then go home to figure out the rest. If you'd otherwise spend months piecing this together from forums, this is a shortcut. And if it isn't the right month for it, take the free guide instead. It'll still be here.
I barely have time to shower. When would I watch this?
The modules are short on purpose. Watch one in a waiting room. Listen to one while you fold laundry. There's no schedule to fall behind on and no cohort waiting on you. You have lifetime access, so you can take it in whatever order and whatever pace your life allows.
Does this apply to my child's type of hearing loss?
Yes. The program covers mild through profound, one ear or both, stable or progressive, and it walks through hearing aids, cochlear implants and communication options without pushing you toward one path. Your child's specific plan belongs to you and your care team. This gets you ready to be a full participant in that conversation.
What if we're choosing between ASL and spoken language?
Then you're in exactly the right place, and I'm not going to hand you an answer. I'll explain what each option actually involves, what the research does and doesn't say, and what families in both directions wish they'd known. Plenty of families do both. You are allowed to change course later.
What's the difference between the video series and the Complete Program?
The Complete Program is the videos plus the printed 125+ page Parent Guidebook with the forms, glossary and appointment logs, shipped to you anywhere in the world. The video series is the modules and interviews on their own. Most families take the Complete Program because the book is what ends up in the appointment bag.
