Listening fatigue is real.

Listening Fatigue is real - and not just for those with hearing loss. With the world a noisier place, and more virtual meetings/conferences occurring it is no wonder we are seeing increase in people being tired, weary, frustrated and in need of "zoning out" time. ⠀

Instead of depleting energy looking back and longing for the past of our old "normal," try move forward, prevent fatigue, adapt and create a "new normal." ⠀

Here are some tips to combat listening fatigue - for those with normal hearing or hearing loss!⠀

+get your hearing evaluated

+learn to say no

+identify your needs and learn how to ask for them

+know that you are and are doing enough

+limit overstimulation

+get amplification if appropriate

+establish boundaries

+connect with nature

+use a remote microphone

+reduce background noise

+rest your body

+rest your mind
